Funded research applications to the New National Excellence Program

 

   The Review Panel of the New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities have funded the research project applications of Dr. Rita Frank assistant professor, and Péter Kozák undergraduate medical student. Their research forms an integral part of the activity of the HCEMM-USZ Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism Research Group. Congratulations on the achievement!

Student presentation awards at the Korányi Frigyes Scientific Forum

 

   The Korányi Frigyes College for Advanced Studies of the Semmelweis University organized the 27th Korányi Frigyes Scientific Forum in Budapest between March 17-18, 2023. Four students of our Department’s Student Science Study Group, Anna Zsigmond, Péter Kozák, Péter Szarvas and Farnaz Jafarian contributed to the Forum. Péter Szarvas (supervisors: Dr. Rita Frank and Dr. Eszter Farkas) and Farnaz Jafarian (supervisors: Dr. Rita Frank and Dr. Ákos Menyhárt) have won third prize for their poster and oral presentations. Congratulations for the achievement!

Participation at the “Neuro-vascular function in health and disease” advanced training course

 

   The CAJAL Advanced Neuroscience Training Programme (founded by FENS and IBRO) organizes the next course on “Neuro-vascular function in health and disease” between 20 March - 7 April 2023, at the Bordeaux School of Neuroscience, Bordeaux, France. Dr. Réka Tóth, a PhD student at our Department has been selected as a trainee at the prestigious course, with the support of the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Travel Grants. Dr. Réka Tóth is supervised by Dr. Ákos Menyhárt and Dr. Eszter Farkas at the HCEMM-USZ Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism Research Group. Congratulations for the achievement!

Selected presentation at ISCOMS

 

   The International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences, also known as ISCOMS, is one of the world’s leading student congresses in (bio)medical sciences. The 30th ISCOMS meeting this year will take place between 5-8 June in Groningen, The Netherlands. The abstract submitted by Péter Kozák, a 4th year medical student and a member of the Student Science Study Group at our Department has been selected for oral presentation. Péter Kozák is supervised by Dr. Ákos Menyhárt at the HCEMM-USZ Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism Research Group. Congratulations for the presentation opportunity!
